Installing PiXELS3D

1. Insert the PiXELS3D CD in your CD ROM drive.
2. Double click on the PiXELS3D_3.0_Install icon and follow the instructions.
3. There are optional files included on the PiXELS3D CD. If you have room on your hard drive, you should copy these files into your PiXELS:3D folder.

    • PiXELS3D utility files
    • Shaders and texture maps
    • Sample PiXELS3D models
    • Optionally, a Read Me file for late-breaking information about PiXELS3D

To begin using PiXELS3D:

1. If you see a Read Me file, double click on the icon to open it. It describes last minute changes which may not be included in this guide.
2. Double click on the PiXELS3D application icon inside the PiXELS:3D folder.

3. The first time you use PiXELS3D, you will see a dialog box asking for your name, your company name, and a Software Key. The Software Key can be obtained by following the instructions shown in the dialog. After obtaining your Software Key, type in the requested information, and click Register to imbed it in your PiXELS3D file. The User Name and Company Name will appear on the splash screen each time you launch PiXELS3D.
4. If PiXELS3D is installed on a computer that does not have the proper system requirements (for example, insufficient memory or an unsupported processor), the application cannot be opened. If this happens, a dialog box will present an error message explaining the problem.
