- A new Raytracer
dialog appears, which allows you to set the "Environment"
color node parameter. The Environment parameter is used to specify the
color of rays that do not hit any object.
- Click OK in the Raytracer
dialog.
- Bring up the slider underneath the Reflection
or Refraction input so you can see
the effect of the ray tracing.
- If you are using ray tracing to simulate refraction, set the "Index
of Refraction" input for the material. Note that if the index of refraction
is 1.0 light is not bent at all.
- Click OK in the ShaderMaker
dialog.
- Render your scene.
3DMF Import
Pixels3D now has the ability to import 3DMF files. 3DMF is Apple's file
format for QuickDraw 3D. The importer can read in Tri-Mesh, Tri-Grid,
NURB, and three or four sided polygons. If the file contains polygons
with more than four sides, you will be given a warning indicating that
some of the polygons are not being imported.
