Pixels3D Version 3.5 Addendum Will
Ackel User Interface Changes When you start Pixels3D you will see three new floating palettes: the Favorites palette (described in the next section), the tool palette, which is now icon-based, and the Constraints palette. The floating tool palette lists each of the tool groups. To select a tool, click on a tool group and then select a tool from that group in the pop-up menu. When the floating palettes are used, the bottom of the document window contains an Info Bar that tells you the amount of memory remaining in k bytes, and the keyboard shortcut and directions for use of the currently selected tool. The Constraints palette that was at the bottom of the document window appears in its own floating window. To toggle the orientation of the Constraints palette between horizontal and vertical, click the palette's close box. If you wish to use the version 3.2 style text-only palettes, choose the Window>Tool Palette menu item. If you want Pixels3D to start up with the text-only palettes, open the "Preferences" file (in the "Pixels3D Studio 3.5" folder), search for "toolpalette on", change it to "toolpalette off", and save the file. The next time you start Pixels3D, the text-only palettes will be used. (Command-8) to return back-and-forth from the old interface and new interface. Control Key Changes |
